Looking for an interesting class or two for the Fall? Check out these innovative courses:
For Fall 2008 Assistant Professor Erualdo Gonzalez is offering a course in the History of the Chicano (CHIC 345) which will focus on the United States history from the 1820s to the present as it is conditioned by the intersection of race, ethnicity, class, gender, region, generational variation, politics, and economics with a special emphasis on Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

Assistant Professor Roberta Espinoza (Sociology) will offer Chicanas and Latinas in the U.S. (SOC/CHIC 434) for the Fall 2008.  Though the use of documentaries and literature written by Chicanas and Latinas, students will explore the diverse experiences of Chicanas and Latinas in the United States.

Also in the Fall Semester Assistant Professor Patricia Literte (Sociology) will be teaching Biracial and Multiracial People (SOC 324) in which the historical and contemporary experiences of biracial and multiracial people will be examined.

  On Friday, April 25, 2008, at a Student Forum sponsored by the Cal State Fullerton's Alliance of Students for an Equal Education, and endorsed by the Chicana & Chicano Studies Department, the CSUF Office of Student Affairs, The Orange County Dream Team, and CSUF Students for Peace and Social Justice, Department Faculty, Assistant Professors Patricia Perez and Alexandro Jose Gradilla, spoke on behalf of the California Dream Act: Aid to Undocumented College Students.
