Remote access to journal article databases is provided to SJSU SLIS students by SJSU's King Library.

bullet

Before you can access these databases, however, you will need the King Library proxy passwords. To access this page, you will need the SLIS user ID and password, which are given to you each semester by your instructors.

bullet For more information about using King Library databases from home, visit the Distance Learning pages.

bullet Remember that your SJSU user ID and password will not allow you remote access from your home computer to Pollak Library's databases, because you are not enrolled at CSUF.
bullet You can use Pollak Library journal article databases in the library at computer workstations. To see where computers
are located throughout the library, at the Pollak Library home page, under "Services" click on "Study Spaces & Computers," then click on "Public Computers."

bullet At the beginning of each semester, Pollak Library offers one-hour, drop-in workshops where you can learn basic strategies and techniques for finding articles in journal databases. Ask at the Reference Desk for a schedule of the workshops.
