Government Documents for Business & Economics

The government collects valuable data for business research, at the state and federal level. The government is mandated to collect certain information, or possesses the unique resources to do it. There is almost no subject for which you cannot find government information. For example:

  • Census of population: demographics
  • Consumer expenditure survey: buying habits
  • Occupational Outlook: jobs and industry forecasts

Government documents are on the 3rd Floor of Library North or increasingly on the Internet.

EXAMPLE: Economic Report of the President Transmitted to the Congress (2000). Washington: Government Printing Office.
