Government Documents for Education

The government collects valuable data for educators, at the state and federal level. The government is mandated to collect certain information, or possesses the unique resources to do it. There is almost no subject for which you cannot find government information. For example:

  • Education Statistics
  • Demographics of community, state, school district
  • Education Code

Government documents are on the 3rd Floor of Library North or increasingly on the Internet.

EXAMPLE: Horn, L.J. & Chen, X. (1998). Toward Resiliency: At-Risk Students who Make it to College. Washington, D.C. : U.S. Department of Education, Office of Educational Research and Improvement.
