Finding Information on the WWW

• Use Web sites verified by librarians, your professor or publishers. The library provides:
  • SUBJECT LINKS to specific web sites
  • Links to subject indexes/directories which help you find evaluated sites
  • Web links from library guides by major or school
• Do your own evaluation using the following checklist:
  • Six Criteria for Evaluating Web Sites
• Learn seach techniques that get you to the right source:
  • Good search engines
  • Knowledge of domain names (.gov, .edu, .org etc.)
