Books

Books can provide a good overview of a topic, as well as in-depth information. A book often includes a bibliography or list of additional resources (other books, articles, films, etc.).

Always note the date of a book. More current information may be available in periodical articles. To find books on your topic in the CSUF Library, use the Library Catalog. Materials are listed by author, title, subject, call number, and words in title and content notes. Materials in this library are classified and shelved by the Library of Congress classification system. The general call number for Anthropology is GN-GT.

Anthropology's interdisciplinary aspects may necessitate further checking by using other resources in related subject fields.

If this library does not have a book you need, you can obtain it from another library. To locate and borrow books from other libraries, first try Link+ and request items online. There is a Link+ button in the Library Catalog that allows you to rerun your search in Link+.  Other library catalogs, such as the University of California's Melvyl, can be found on the Other Libraries & Book Collections page. Materials found there can be requested from Interlibrary Loan. Remember - your Titan card can be used at any CSU library to borrow library materials.
