    Pollak library owns a number of audio and video recordings that would be of interest to Dance students.  The recordings are stored on the fourth floor of the Library's north building.  These materials check out only to faculty for classroom use.  Students may listen to or view these materials on the fourth floor where there are rooms set aside for this purpose. If the library owns the audio or video recordings on your topic, how do you find it?

The Library Catalog is the listing of everything this library owns.  It is an easy to use database which can be searched by title, author, subject or keyword.

If you are looking for a videorecording on dance in India: 
1. Search the library catalog by keyword.  2.  Enter: videorecording dance India

If you want to know if we have a recording of In the Hall of the Mountain King
1. Search the library catalog by keyword. 2. Enter: Hall Mountain King and limit by material type "audio media"

Recommended Collections of recorded dance or music:
The JVC Video Anthology of World Music and Dance (videorecording) M 1627 J9 1990
        This is a 19 cassette set of videorecorded documentaries on Dance throughout the world.  Each videorecording
        will cover one to three different countries.
The Garland Encyclopedia of World Music (Reference ML100 .G16) This multi-volume encyclopedia has an
         accompanying set of audio compact discs which are stored with the rest of the sound recordings in the Audio
         Visual collection on the fourth floor.  (call number for audio compact discs: AVD 1141)
