Modern Languages & Literatures

CSU Fullerton's  Pollak Library has many resources useful to students studying  a foreign language and related literature and culture. BA and MA degrees are offered in Classes in French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish.  Arabic, Chinese and Vietnamese classes are offered for credit.  In addition to the written and spoken language, classes in the Foreign Language Department and other disciplines explore aspects of the cultures and societies using the language.

Check the Modern Languages department page for specific information about the language and program in which you are interested or you are completing.

Before beginning your research, ask yourself the following questions:

bulletWhat is your specific topic?
bulletWhat keywords or phrases best describe your topic?
bulletWhat types of materials are needed? Books? Reference materials? Journal
or magazine articles? Primary or secondary?
bulletHow soon do you need your materials?

For an overview of the Pollak library and the research process come to a Workshop or check the Library Survival Skills web page.

The CSU Information Competence Project has tutorials that can help you with the research process.
