Physics: Books: LCSH

Library Catalog subjects are Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH). The Library Catalog may direct you from an incorrect to a correct LCSH, e.g., "Microwave Background" see "Cosmic Background Radiation". The Library Catalog may also link you to related LCSH that you may wish to consult. 

Some valid LCSH for Physics include:

bulletGeneral relativity (physics)
bulletKinetic theory of matter
bulletQuantum field theory
bulletScattering (physics)
bulletSex discrimination in physics

For a complete list of LCSH, consult the most recent Library of Congress Subject Headings Online or in print: Library of Congress Subject Headings.

Keywords can also be used in the Library Catalog to find relevant materials. For example,  "Particle Physics" and "High Energy Physics" are not valid LCSH, but you can find relevant titles using those keywords and then search valid LCSH such as "Particles (Nuclear Physics)".
