Books in the CSUF Library are located on the 4th, 5th, & 6th floors of the South Wing. Books are arranged on the shelves by "Library of Congress call numbers." These call numbers do a valuable service: they group books on similar subjects together on the shelf. For example, all the books on Debating will be near each other. Here are some common call numbers for Human Communication -related subjects:
While randomly browsing books on the shelf might be interesting, its not effective when you need to find a specific book. To do that, use the library's online catalog to look up a book. Then you'll be able to find the Call number so you can find exactly where you book is located. You can search the online catalog different ways:
